I am a music artist member volunteering with an Organization known as REPACTED-KENYA which is a youth serving organisation based at the Nakuru players theatre dealing with issues concerning health such as HIV/AIDS awareness and behaviour change among the community members in the society. Here I use my music to effect change among the youths and the community at large.

I was born and raised in Nakuru in a family of eleven and started my primary education in class four in the year in the 1998 in the same town. We later moved to Molo where after clearing my primary school in 2004.
In my life, Education and Music is all I ever wanted, but unfortunately due to financial constraints I dropped out of school and since then I have been pursuing music whole heartedly because music is my passion. I have chosen music because through it I can express my self and open mind to reach out to a wide audience. Though my father tried his best I eventually I had to give way to my elder brothers who was in high school at the time.

I had started my music performing in school activities. In 2005 I had to find ways to make ends meet doing odd jobs here and the there and put together some money while helping my parents and later moved to Nairobi to look for a job and I landed myself on a building construction job (Mjengo) in Makadara. LaterI incurred injuries in the construction and I was forced to move back to Molo.

In 2008 after the post election violence observed in the year 2007 I was evicted from my home and went to Nakuru as an IDP and became apart time volunteer with RED CROSS. It was during this time that I recorded my first single Rejesho (Restoration). Its here that I met with James Karongo (REPACTED member)who was also a Red Cross volunteer at the Nakuru Afraha Stadium IDPs camp in who invited me to REPACTED Kenya’s offices for a performance in a peace concert. Then I was introduced to the group co coordinator who was quit impressed with my zeal to pass educative message through my music prompting him to recruit me as a group member. I have participated in their magnet theatre outreaches on reproductive health doing mobilization that involves singing and dancing. Last year I was involved actively counselling and guiding rappers on the OPEN MIC FESTIVAL whose aim was to find a musician who could freestyle on positive messages in the community. We also formed a dance troupe that titled SAWWA DANCERS under the umbrella of REPACTED KENYA and have performed on various stages like the MISS RED RIBBON and RED CROOSS PEACE CONCERT, CCK {Communication Commission of Kenya} road shows. I have dedicated my music to educate about peace and reconciliation, health and the things that affects the community in their daily life. I have recorded several tracks where by two talks more about PEACE, LOVE and UNITY while two talks about health (drug abuse, early marriages, HIV/AIDS, and behaviour change among the youths) and the remaining are gospel.

In the five years that I have been in the music industry my greatest challenge has been getting my music out to the society and selling my album Rejesho. In getting my music to the community I have always sought a forum to expose my talent. You have organised seminars and shows in the past that have been a great success and have mobilized people who have appreciated the ministry and the good news. I would love to be part of a ministry that is using the same tool as i to reach out to youths and greater audience in which if they like they would in turn buy my music. It’s because of this reason that I reached out to you. I would appreciate any form of feed back in this issue.thank you so much
